Meet Dani, a music lover from the UK.
“ I’m a graduate from the University of Exeter hoping to break into the music industry on the business side of things. I spend a lot of time curating my UK Rap playlist, but I also listen to a lot of R&B and Reggaetón amongst other genres."
What is the soundtrack to your life?
The 20/20 Experience - both sides. It dropped years ago but it still gets me singing every word today. There’s no body of work that’s really comparable and I’d love JT to revisit that sound.
Mr Brightside. I will invariably leave the dance floor if (when) this comes on.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
Music, just. Generally I listen to music because of the positive impact it has on my mood and the energy it gives me.
Drake. Take Care is my favourite album of all time. He will never top that.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Rosalía. Being half-Spanish, I find myself listening to a lot of Hispanic and Latin music. In my opinion, she is the most exciting talent that Spain has produced for many years. Her voice is absolutely stunning and she has an incredibly unique style, blending traditional flamenco with more modern sounds. She is a genius and it would be a privilege to interview her.
Drake and Tory Lanez at the O2 in London. Undoubtedly the best that I have ever been to. Flawless production and an extraordinary setlist that shows why Drake is the greatest hit-maker of our generation. Shoutout to Tory Lanez for making Chixtape 4, my favourite mixtape of all time. He was a true performer.
