Meet Felipe, a music lover from Brazil.
“I'm a Brazilian student-athlete in the US, who found power in music to fight through adversity. I believe overcoming challenges is easier when you have the right soundtrack, but I have never liked the music services' playlists very much. Having to skip a song is something I simply can't stand, and so I began curating my own playlists so I could just hit Shuffle and enjoy. People started liking them, and even though I have never shared my playlists, they started getting a big amount of followers. My friends say I have a gift, but I don't really know what it is; I just listen and place - that's my thing."

What is the soundtrack to your life?

Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd (I believe life is very simple - we are the ones to overcomplicate it. And thus in living a simple life I think it's when we are the happier and enjoy it more.)

What is the most annoying song in the world?

Any EDM song really (sorry not sorry).

What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?

That's a tough one... But I think I'll go with music. Although lyrics are important and bring a lot of meaning, with the right music I can just enter a vibe and go very far with it, forgetting about all the problems in the world and etc. A well-done techno would be a good example.

Favorite artist?

I think you can tell by know, but I'm very eclectic haha. But currently, the reggae group Stick Figure.

If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)

Bob Marley. I know it may sound cliché, but I wanted to sit down and have a philosophical, life-related kind of conversation with him. I wanted to know how he saw the world, his fears and ideas. That type of stuff.

Last concert?

D-Nox. He was unbelievable.
