Meet Erin Allport, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“This is a compilation of songs featured in The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie, which is adapted from my favorite book as a teenager. It filmed in Pittsburgh in 2011, when I was a senior in high school, and I worked as an extra in a few scenes. The whole experience weirdly brought my youth full circle.”
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
Lots of classic rock. My brother and I call it "camp music" because it's what our parents always played on family camping trips. I also really loved Sheryl Crow and would make my mom put on her cassette tapes anytime we were in the car.
Name your top 3 favorite artists and why?
This changes all the time, but currently: St. Vincent, Phoebe Bridgers, Caroline Rose.
Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
Is mayonnaise an instrument? Nah, JK - unfortunately, I don't have an ounce of actual musical talent in my body. Maybe in my next life.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
`Rumours' by Fleetwood Mac.
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
No Doubt's summer 2009 tour for biggest spectacle, Lady Lamb's living room tour for most meaningful.
