Meet Sebastian, a music lover from Sweden.
“So, a little about myself. My name is Sebastian Schildmeijer. I live in Kalmar, a small city in Sweden. I was born here in Sweden, but my foreign (not so Swedish) last name originates from my father, which comes from Holland (The Netherlands). My current occupation and work title is Reporting & Analyzing Specialist. I work for this international company called Sykes. I will turn 34 this month, which also makes me a Gemini. I think you will come to see why I am a Gemini in the answers that follow lol."

What is the soundtrack to your life?

Music, frequencies and energy is everything. I used to make my own instrumental songs a few years back with my computer and a midi keyboard. Nowadays I only enjoy the creations of others.

Favorite artist?

I don't really have one favourite artist or song. I have hundreds! I listen to so many genres, and keep going back and forth between them all. I don't like to be limited or defined by just the one. If the beat, melody, singing or just the energy of the song speaks to me I will save it.
Last summer I went solo travelling, revisiting Barcelona for a week, followed by another week along the French Riviera (Nice, Cannes, St Tropez). That sparked my listening to a lot of spanish and french artists (i.e. Ozuna, Dadju). Last year I have also been listing to a lot of african songs. Nigeria is producing tons of great artists/songs (DaVido, Tekno, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade).

What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?

I think the first that speaks to me when hearing a song is the actual music, and voice of singer, if not an instrumental song. I think music and lyrics is both important, but if I had to choose one I think I'd put the music/tune first. I love many songs which I have no idea what the lyrics mean, but I still enjoy them. It's much about the feeling the song creates or amplifies in yourself. It can resonate with your soul, lift you up, make you sad, nostalgic, happy, sad etc. You name it!

What is the most annoying song in the world?

As of right now I can't really bring to mind a song that annoys me, or is the most annoying song in the world. If a song were to annoy me I probably do my best to stay away from it haha. Then put it out of mind. I have probably had a few of those before, but none that I can come to think of now. Like I said, I enjoy most music genres, and genres that are completly opposite from each other. I can turn to classical music one day, and the next I switch back to reggae, house, hip hop or electronic

Last concert?

The last artist I saw playing live was the swedish reggae artist General Knas. He performed here in the city where I live. Before that I don't think I have been to any concerts or so since last summer. Last summer I visited the festival event Unite with Tomorrowland in Barceloma where I saw artist like Galantis and Steve Aioki live on stage. I can only say, it was a blast!
