Meet Mathilde Welzel, 31 years old from Demark.
“I wanted to make a playlist, that was fun and happy but maybe had a deeper meaning if you really listened to the lyrics. Something you can sing along to in the car or just listen to and smile. It's kind of like a guilty pleasure playlist. ”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
I don't think there's only one soundtrack - But if I had one, it would be a super weird mix of songs. Maybe a mix of my Teenage girly pop and my Anger Management playlists.
It's definitely Paramore. It's been awesome to follow their journey from All We Know Is Falling to After Laughter.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Dave Grohl or maybe Miley Cyrus. It would be cool to have a beer with Dave and ask some questions. And actually same with Miley.
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
I don't even know - there's been so many great concerts. And for different reasons. I recently went to a concert with Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, because I found their band name funny, and they were awesome. But if I have to pick just one, it's gonna be Paramore in my favorite venue in Copenhagen, Vega, a couple of years ago. They were absolutely fantastic.
Do you play any instruments? If not, any you would love to learn?
I don't - but I would like to learn to play drums and the violin.
What is the most annoying song in the world?
That awful Crazy Frog song with the shittiest animation ever!
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why? *
It depends on the artist. Generally it's gotta be lyrics, because they can make you really listen. That's kind of why I love Paramore's After Laughter. It's upbeat and happy, until you listen to the lyrics.
