Meet Caleb, a student from Utah.
“I grew up in Oregon and I think my music taste is pretty characteristic of that area. I'm going to school at Utah State University studying mechanical engineering”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
The soundtrack to my life would probably be " 'Cause, I'm a Man" by Tame Impala.
What is the most annoying song in the world?
I don't get easily annoyed with music, but anything Country I have a pretty hard time listening to. It's really hard to choose between music and lyrics.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
I think it depends on the genre and mood I'm looking for. When I'm trying to get hyped or upbeat, lyrics are less important to me than the music. A really exciting rhythm or sound can get me amped up. But if I'm trying to feel something deeper, it's more important that the lyrics relate and speak truth to me.
It's again super hard to pick a single favorite artist. My top 5 would probably be Phoenix, Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, Frank Ocean, and Mac Demarco. Out of those I'd probably say Phoenix is my all-time favorite artist.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
If I had a chance to interview any artist it would be Iron & Wine, their music speaks peace to me and I would love to better understand the source of that.
My last indie concert was Foster the People.
