Meet Shannon, an Indie music lover from Chicago.
“I worked at Starbucks for a little while and was inspired by the music we played in the store."
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
Alternative music and classic rock. Blink 182, The Starting Line, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Creedence Clearwater Revival, among many others.
Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
I used to be the drummer in a pop-punk band called As We Once Were. I also sing, play piano, guitar, and violin.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I'm a graphic designer but on the side I love to make album covers and merch designs for bands and musicians. I love to draw and help out in the music community when I can.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
One of my favorite albums of all time is American Candy by The Maine. The group is phenomenal live and it is one of the only albums I can listen to on repeat.
Name your top 3 favorite artists and why?
Panic! At the Disco, Between the Buried and Me, and Walk The Moon. All over the place in genre, but I love how great they are live and their musicianship. Nothing is more satisying than seeing an artist perform live and have it sound just as good, if not better, than the studio recording.
