Southern Rock + Country Rock

Meet 52 year old Frater based in Barcelona, Spain
"I made this playlist to pay homage to all those legendary bands that have made me happy every day of my life and to be able to teach and know the new groups that make the current Southern & Country Rock great like Sam Morrison Band , The Remus Tucker Band , Curt Towne Band , Her And Kings County And all those bands that have 20 monthly listening on Spotify and every time I hear them shake my bones with their fantastic quality, goes for all of them!!!"

What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?

I grew up listening to my older brother's records as we all did, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger...When I started working I saved some money and bought my first albums, status Quo, the Police, AC/DC, began the 80 ′s and discovered the Southern Rock with Lynyrd Skynyrd, that changed my life, was a Southern boy in Spain , the first one , at last it was me.

Name one of your favorite albums of all time?

It is impossible to choose a single favorite album, are many decades and too many hours listening and watching bands, this is a summary although many are missing...Molly Hatchet-Take No prisoners Judas Priest-British Steel Roger Hodgson-In The Eye On the Storm Black Sabbath-Sabotage Status Quo-Never To Late Lynyrd Skynyrd-Gimme Back My Bullets Led Zeppelin-Physical GraffitiOzzy Osbourne-Diary of A Madman

What artist, dead or alive, who would you interview and why?

I would interview each and every one of the artists who have made great this genre, Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Outlaws, 38, Grindeswitch, Atlanta Rhythm, Molly Hatchet...But more than interviewing I would like to have a few beers and talk with Ronnie Van Zant and Dave Hlubeck in 1973 in some swamp in Florida at dusk....Nice talk.

What is the best concert you've ever been to?

Fortunately I have been able to attend many concerts in Spain, England, France and of course in the USA.In Europe I remember with affection to have seen Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Deep Purple, Eagles, Skynyrd, Blackfoot and many more and in the USA I had the privilege of having attended all the Simple Man Cruise (8 cruises) and to be able to see the biggest ones of the Southern Rock.I have seen more than 30 times Lynyrd Skynyrd and I still cry with Simple Man, I have been able to meet personally several times and my Heart is yours forever, are the biggest!

Name your top 3 favorite artist and why?

My favorite artist is Lynyrd Skynyrd no doubt. They have been in active for more than 40 years, after the plane crash they needed 10 years to overcome the tragedy and with the incorporation of Johnny Van Zant and the new members have been able to pay a worthy homage to those Southern Boys Friends of the Institute of Jacksonville.God Bless Southern Rock!!!
