Soul Trap 😌👂🏽

Meet Eddy, a 24 year old Spotify playlist curator from Seattle, WA.
“I made this playlist back in the fall of 2016 while searching for niche sounds that satisfied my RnB, soul and hip-hop pop needs. The key was to find tracks that married ecstasy with serenity.”

Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming it include:

This playlist wakes the rhythm the soul by beaming calm soothing sounds into your eardrums while channeling mellow & low-downbeat bass tones accompanied with passion filled vocals.

The playlist is best enjoyed during a drive, having a puff, soaking in views, or just winding down from a long week

Who is your favorite artist?

As a music lover, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that you can have a favorite artist. I always leave room to explore new artists but if we’re to name a few favorites (Masego, Ama Lou, Kwame and Sonder)

What song do you currently have on repeat?

Vent by Joël (The song captures my current mood and his vocals are a vibe)

Who is the first artist you remember connecting to growing up?

A Kenyan artist named E-Sir

Is there any music that turns you off? If so, what genres / artists:

I think mumble rap has lost its taste just as quickly as it came into the scene

If you could interview one artist dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Tupac - (He approached his craft with specific precision that encompassed artistry, politics, culture, and more. It would be an honor if I had the opportunity to ask about his creative strategy behind his work)

What's more important to you: lyrics or production?

This is a hard question to any music lover. Audio engineers and other personnel behind the vocals are also artists within. I try to judge songs based its attributes that make the final composite of the track.
