Meet Hampus, a music lover from Sweden.
“I created the playlist almost 10 years ago. At the time I was obsessed with the tv-series Scrubs. I loved (and still do) the positive energy of the show and the underlying deeper messages. The music always played a key role in amplifying the emotion and was constantly present. Kinda wanted to have that music in my present life as well because it was connected with positive emotions, and the playlist was created. I posted it on a website just for fun and from there on it grew to what it is today."
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
My father always played a lot of the old school stuff, like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, The Cure and so on. When I was old enough to have my own portable CD player I started to listen to Eminem a lot but also bands like Linkin Park and The Offspring. I barely understood anything from the lyrics but loved the energy.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
Bon Iver - For Emma, forever ago. Just pure magic.
What is the best concert you've ever been to?
Impossible to choose just one but first time I saw Coldplay is definitely up there. I had been listening to them for years and knew most of their songs by heart. We were in line from early morning to secure front row. The show was outstanding and having Chris Martin 2m away from you sitting at the piano and playing 'Fix you' is hard to beat. The Tallest man on earth is also a favorite of mine. He has the whole crowd in his pocket from the first second he enters the stage.
Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
Not really. I own a couple of guitars but I haven't had the patience to learn how to play them properly. I wish I could tho and play piano. I would love to have an instrument as an creative output.
If you were a singer, what current living artist would you like to collaborate with?
I guess Chris Martin would be a dream.
