Meet Kenny Nelson, a 32 year old from Boulder, CO.
“This playlist is somewhere to stash all the songs that turn into ear-worms for me. The shuffle all playlist for all Saturday afternoon activities: hanging on a patio with friends, doing yard work, cleaning the house, running with the dog, etc”
What music did you listen to growing up as a kid?
Listened to whatever my parents would put on the radio. That turned into groups like B-52s, the Cranberries, Fleetwood Mac, and a ton of bluegrass. bluegrass isn't as cool while growing up but the acoustic influence is clear in what I like hearing.
If you were a singer, what current living artist would you love to collaborate with?
Do you play an instrument? If no, what instrument would you love to learn?
I played the piano as a kid and the trombone through grade school.
What is the best concert you've ever been to?
Saw Vance Joy in a small venue in Denver and it was an incredible experience... He's very engaging and a skilled musician.
What is your favorite quote?
Leggo My Eggo
Do you have a life slogan?
Que Sera, Sera (also a ton of great remixes built off of old songs with that line in it)
What is more important to you, music or lyrics? Why?
Music! It's the main driver that pulls someone into a song, it's what our emotions are drawn to, and so much easier to remember. Lyrics may have a higher ceiling for impact given the combination of words and melodies, but a good Melody is nearly drug-like in its hook.
