Meet Arturo, from Mexico.
“I was raised in Mexico, and currently live in the U.S. I'm a Spanish Curriculum Specialist with a passion for music. Even though I never learned to play any instruments, music has always been an important part of my life. Music has helped get through hard times and has also made good times much more enjoyable.”
I'm 27 and I live in Austin, Texas, the live music capital of the world!
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Whatever I'm in the mood for. The situation pretty much dictates the kind of music I want to listen at every moment.
What is the most annoying song in the world?
This is a tough one. I would say that, at the moment, the most annoying song in the world might the Baby Shark song (not sure if that's the actual name).
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
It has to be a combination of both. In my case, the music is what keeps me listening to a new song, because it's sort of the first impression that I get from it. Then the lyrics come into play and turn good music into a great song. They have to complement each other.
This one is very hard to answer because I have so many. I would say that some of my current favorite artists are: Leon Bridges, John Mayer, Allen Stone, Daft Punk, Luis Miguel, among many others.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Last concert I went to was during SXSW and it was Ximena Sariñana and Tory y Moi.
