Meet Selena Gonzalez, 25 years old from Chicago, IL.
“When I originally created it, I was going through a huge phase where all I listened to was Rihanna. I gradually started to add other artists in to the mix and then I decided to create a playlist with my favorite women artists. The plan was always to continue adding new artists to the mix (Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, J.Lo and as of recently Lizzo, Cardi B, Camilla Cabello, Halsey, and Ariana Grande). The playlist unexpectedly took of when in reality it was just songs from the women I love all on one playlist! So keep a look out, because I will be expanding the range of artists.”

What is the soundtrack to your life?
I picture my life having "Gone Now" by Bleachers as a soundtrack.
Favorite artist?
Might sound like I am currently obsessing but, Jack Antonoff! He produces, writes, and seems like just an all around cool dude.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Freddie Mercury
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
My first concert ever. My uncle took me to see a small all girl band from Texas that went by Girl in a Coma. It was in a bar/nightclub in Chicago. He introduced me to the band and I was so hooked at the time. I loved their sound and their vibe. He bought me tickets and took me and my best friend. i just remember thinking how cool my uncle is and how much fun I was having. We got to meet the band afterwards and they signed a t- shirt for me! Still have it till this day and it has been almost 10 years!

Do you have a life slogan?

What is the most annoying song in the world?
Fire flies and Call Me Maybe
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
Ugh this is tough. The music always tells you how their feeling! Especially if you are watching an artist play their music live. They play it how they want you to receive it during that time in their life. But the lyrics....can sometimes mean so much! There are songs that I love because behind the melody, I can connect to it. But then there are songs that just hook me in with how they are played and regardless of whether or not I have gone through something they are talking about in the lyrics, I feel it. I empathize.
