Reggae Dubstep

Meet Nick Sherman from New York City.
“2012 was a pivotal year for electronic music and I was becoming more and more interested with the origins of UK dubstep. This exploration led me to a number of niche sub-genres and so here we are today!”

Name one of your favorite albums of all time?

Mezzanine by Massive Attack gets this award for sure. I remember buying the album from the now defunct Virgin Records without knowing anything about the band. I'll never forget the cashier's sincerity in telling me how great the experience would be, and he was definitely right. I played that damned thing on repeat all summer long.

What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Definitely a tie between Rage Against the Machine and Nine Inch Nails.

Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?

I played classical guitar for some time. I still have them lying around.

Do you have a life slogan?

Perfection is impossible, and consistency is key.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I have quite the eye for photography. It even makes me a living! IG: @nesherman.
