Meet Arturo, a 21 year old Spotify playlist curator from Spain.
“I love American rap music and I wanted to make a playlist that embodied the tracks that represented my music taste.”
Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming it include:
It is a playlist for chill out situations rather than club-hype rap music. It is for those moments in which you are either chilling with your friends or road tripping by your own and want to listen to calm rap music
Who is your favorite artist?
What's your favorite show you've ever been to? Describe what made it special:
Kendrick Lamar concert of the DAMN european tour. His delivery was insane in live stage. He really brought a special type of energy that he showcase in his albums into the show.
What song do you currently have on repeat?
Take what you want - Post Malone ft Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott
Who is the first artist you remember connecting to growing up?
Is there any music that turns you off? If so, what genres / artists:
Emo generic rap
If you could interview one artist dead or alive, who would it be and why?
What's more important to you: lyrics or production?
I like a good balance between the two. But, if I had to choose, it would be production because it is what helps a song sound better. I have heard lots of low quality tracks in terms of lyrics that sounded okay or even good because of high quality production. In my opinion when you hear a track what first makes an impression on you is the sound meaning: delivery + production. Then, in further listens, you pay attention to the lyrics
