Meet Wesley Fransen, an artist manager, Spotify Playlister and the owner of housebootlegs.com who is from the Netherlands
"The music industry is not easy and we all find hard times to reach next levels. But please do trust me on my word that the music industry can be also something amazing. I'm in this industry for 26+ years and I still learn a lot day by day."
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
Soul, Funk and R&B. But my taste in music is very large. I love old music from the 70s and 80s and still love the good old classic house tunes.
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to and why?
It was amazing to see Stevie Wonder. This was my last concert I've been to, But I've also seen Level 42, Phil Collins, Earth Wind & Fire, Metallica, George Michael, Simply Red.
I've seen Jocelyn Brown a few months ago in Tenerife (Spain) and this was very special for me as I'm a big fan of her tracks together with Todd Terry and Erick Morillo.
What musicians are you inspired by?
Oh this is a difficult question. I've met a lot artists already in my life when I was touring back in the days as DJ. I've been in the music industry for 26 years and I've played and toured for over 16 years as a DJ worldwide. I had the pleasure to do many shows in 28 countries and I did a tour with Red Bull Flight club.
I opened for Marco V, Paul van Dyk, Johan Gielen, Yves La Rock, Bob Sinclair, Tom Novy and Tiësto I did after parties for and with Sean Paul and Ikon to name a few
Do you have a life slogan? or a favorite quote?
Yes I do!! The slogan of Housebootlegs.com is "Good Music Needs Attention"
My personal one is
"Don't wait for a chance but create the opportunity."
Do you have a hidden talent?
I'm very very proud on the talents we work with in the #HousebootlegsFam. I'm working for a long time with X-CHANGE from Los Angeles (USA)
Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
Keep your focus and trust on yourself and never ever give up because there's a place for every talent. It's not always important to have a management or a big label behind you as long as you trust in your own career than there's always a chance!
Don't wait for them to find a bestseller but become your own bestseller!
