Meet Alexa Mentesana, 26 years old from Arlington, Texas.
“I am a big music person and I know music can change an environment. So I made this playlist out of pure passion for coaching at Orange Theory. I wanted to have high energy positive music that would get you pumped to push past your limits. I also wanted a party like atmosphere in my classes to take your mind off the workout and have fun. Dance a little, maybe laugh and then cry later. If you were coming to my class you knew it was going to be a good time with lots of high energy and the expectation to pour out everything you had into the workout. Power day at Orange Theory is all about balls to the wall, all or nothing. And this is what I was going to provide.”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
I think this question depends on the season of life I am in. Its always changing. But currently Currents by Tame Impala.
There are so many! I listen to everything so this could be a long answer. To name a few. I like James Brown, Phantogram, Pink Sweat$, The Weekend, Flume and Leon Bridges
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
John Mayer or Frank Sinatra. Both incredibly talented and authentically vocally amazing live!
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
Kenney Chesney in the summer!
Do you have a favorite quote?
"Courage, dear heart."
Do you play any instruments? If not, any you would love to learn?
No, one thing I wish my parents put me in growing up. Defiantly Piano or the violin.
Do you have a life slogan?
Press on regardless
What is the most annoying song in the world?
Can't Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
Both are equally important to me. But it also Depends on the song. For example Hotel California is an amazing song! The music is so good! But the lyrics I have so many questions on... Another example is the song Sierra Leone there are very few lyrics to the song so you are more focused on the music and the beat.
