Meet Flavia Tozzi, a Brazilian influencer that lives in São Paulo.
“I work as a Social Media Content Strategist at Nubank, the biggest fintech outside of Asia. I create and manage the content of our Instagram (@nubank), Twitter and Spotify profiles. A fun fact about my work is that I actually own an Instagram profile with more than 1.4 million followers, so in Brazil, people and brands consider me a digital influencer.”
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
Most of the time I listened to Coldplay, Weezer, Pearl Jam, Hank Williams, Green Day, Outkast, U2, The Killers, Linkin Park, Arctic Monkeys. But I can’t deny that I had my Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls moment.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
At the moment, I can’t stop listening to an album called "Bank on The Funeral" by Matt Maeson.
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to and why?
Coldplay played in Brazil in 2016 and I swear to god, I don’t cry for anything, it’s really hard for me to get emotional, but I cried that day. I don’t know why, but that Chris Martin guy knows how to write lyrics that mess with my head. In the middle of the song Yellow, they started dropping huge air balloons that flew to the sky till we lost sight of them, and suddenly, the pressure of the air made the balloons explode and started to rain yellow papers in shape of butterflies. I still get goosebumps when I think about that time.
What is the last song you listened to?
"Thank you" by Quince Mumford
How did the playlist come to be?
Well, thinking of our brand, I had this crazy idea to take our Spotify account to another level, so I saw the opportunity to create a summer playlist because in Brazil is always summer, so in my mind, I thought people won’t stop listening to it and it would bring us kind of an organic awareness because our clients wouldn’t stop sharing it with their friends. So, I spent 2 hours picking hype songs from 2018 that I usually listened to at work and created the playlist Off to Summer so people could listen when taking a road trip or chilling at the pool with friends.
What is your favorite quote? Or do you have a life slogan?
I actually have one life slogan that follows me everywhere, including my Instagram bio: ‘’The only way out is through’’.
I believe that we have to intensively live the low moments of life (as long as they last), so in the end, we will learn how to get over problems by accepting that we felt everything we could as we faced our fears, and at some point, it will get easier to breathe and live life.
