Meet Jalisa, a 28-year-old Spotify playlist curator from Chicago, Illinois.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
My favorite album has to be Lauryn Hill's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to and why?
The best concert I've ever been to was actually a Wynton Marsalis production which featured a symphony. There was no singing, just the sounds of trumpets, horns, violins, etc. I found the performance to be a blend of complex arrangments combined with the simple sounds of jazz music.
If you were a singer, what current living artist would you like to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Bishop Briggs.
What artist, dead or alive, who would you interview and why?
I would interview the duo OutKast. They are some of my all-time favorite musicians. I would love for them to elaborate on their journey as some of the most influential musical pioneers in Atlanta's hip-hop community.
What is the last song you listened to?
The last song I listened to was Kirby's Loved by You.
