Meet Luis, a 28 year old Spotify playlist curator from Guadalajara, Mexico…
“I'm an audio engineer, work for some of the biggest festivals in Mexico and currently in a few in Latin America, my biggest hobby is DJing every weekend, there's always a new song to share to. You can follow me on Instagram as @soyluisquiroz and @muimuimx (the brand responsible for the MUI MUI Music playlist).”

When & why did you make your playlist?

I change it every month, right now the #036 is the one playing. I'm trying to show people there's good music out there but sometimes Spotify algorithms don't show the good stuff, only the radio stuff.

Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming include:

It's a pre-party kind of thing, imagine yourself hanging out with friends drinking something cool and smooth before the night goes on, maybe on the beach having brunch trying to recover from last night party.

What was the best concert you've ever attended and why? (Include as many details as you'd like: city / venue / when / with whom...)

It's hard to have just one there's so many good stories in concerts, Kendrick Lamar in Lollapalooza Chile was an incredible show, Twenty One Pilots in Mexico was amazing, Tyler Joseph is one energetic front man, if we talk of EDM definitely Swedish House Mafia with his One Last Tour left me speechless.

What kind of music / artists did you grow up listening to?

I grew up listening a lot of genres maybe that's why my musical taste is so open but the artist I remember the most are Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Led Zeppelin, Vivaldi, and of course the MTV charts back in the days were lit.

Who are your all-time favorite artists and why?

The Kooks, period. They sound so simple but in the background there's a lot of work in those songs with those catchy lyrics and clear guitars, they caught me from the first time with Inside In/Inside Out on 2005
