“For dancers, choreographers & music lovers”
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
I grew up listening to a wide range of music as a child. My mom loved 70's and 80's rock and jammed to absolutely anything and everything at all times. I vividly remember music blasting through our house every Saturday morning as we all paid our dues and cleaned our rooms!
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
One of my favorite albums of all time is Sigur Ros' () or sometimes called 'Untitled' album. I love many artists and albums, but this specific album always sticks with me. You can jam to it, dance to it, study to it, cry to it, it is beautiful!!
Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
I do not play an instrument but I would love to know how to play piano. I regret setting down my middle-school alto saxophone years ago because I can no longer read music notes! My children will be forced to play piano for a while, if they absolutely despise piano I suppose we can revisit that issue later. :)
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
The best concert I have ever been to is hands down, Jonsi. He came to the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis, MN in 2010. The concert was an audio & visual experience. He partnered with 59 Productions to pair music, projection, light and sound to create something I will never forget.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I love to dance and teach dance to kids! I have taught dance for 10 years and it has perfectly paired with my love for music. I still dance for myself every now and then but need to add this to my planner (ha) because it truly keeps me sane!
