What is the soundtrack to your life?

She’s Dreaming – EXO

Lady’s Room – Red Velvet

Tomodachi – Utada Hikaru

Hide – Juice WRLD (w/ Seezyn)

Hanataba wo Kimi ni – Utada Hikaru

Manatsu no Tooriame – Utada Hikaru

Best Days Are Ahead Of Me – Danny Gokey

Summer Breeze – Jason Mraz

Invincible – Aminé

The Show Goes On – Lupe Fiasco

Legend – The Score

The Room Where It Happens – Hamilton Original Broadway Cast

My Shot – Hamilton Original Broadway Cast

Stand Out – Tevin Campbell

This took me a lot longer to think about and construct than I thought it would, but I think that this is a pretty accurate soundtrack for my life so far (until I listen to more songs).

What is the most annoying song in the world?

I can’t think of a song that is annoying in a bad way but more like annoying in an “I can’t get this song out of my head!” way. And for me, that’s probably “Chewing Gum” by NCT Dream.  It’s such an earworm for me.

What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?

It depends on the song, honestly. Some songs make me think with their great lyrics, and other songs just make me swoon with their music. But put together a song with great lyrics and great music, and it’s beautiful.

Favorite artist?

Utada Hikaru! I’ve loved Hikki since I was a kid. I feel like I’ve grown and evolved with her career and musical sound. Her music feels like home to me.

If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)

Lin-Manuel Miranda. He’s brilliant. He was able to rewrite history with a modern and urban twist to it that appeals to the public, which is such a feat, and I’d love to be able to interview him about his many inspirations and projects, both his musical projects and his work as an advocate.

Last concert?

I attended Red Velvet’s [REDMARE] in the USA in Dallas just this past February! It was my first K-pop girl group concert, and it was amazing! They are so talented and really know how to entertain their fans. Everyone held up banners to celebrate Seulgi’s birthday, and she was so grateful. It was a fantastic experience.
