Meet Tore Waskaas, 39 years old from Oslo, Norway.
“I love compiling unavailable albums on Spotify, and this is a replica of a soundtrack to a 1988 documentary. It’s beyond me why the original isn’t available on Spotify. It’s a great summary of an outstanding career.”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
The Beatles have meant more to me than just about anyone or anything, except oxygen, food and water. Their work is the soundtrack to my life.
Artist: Randy Newman. Band: The Beatles.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Paul McCartney. Preferably while he’s injecting some sort of truth serum.
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
The Concert for George. A 2002 tribute to George Harrison in London’s Royal Albert Hall featuring McCartney, Ringo, Clapton, Tom Petty, Monty Python etc. What a night! I spent my entire lifetime supply of luck getting that ticket. Been jinxed ever since, but it was worth it.
Do you have a favorite quote?
«Sometimes the silence can be like the thunder». (Bob Dylan).
Do you play any instruments? If not, any you would love to learn?
Yeah, I play guitar, bass and keyboards.
Do you have a life slogan?
No music, no life.
What is the most annoying song in the world?
Too many to mention. It’s probably a tie between just about every commercial radio-hit in the last 20-25 years. Sorry, but I’ve always been a grumpy old man when it comes to music.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
Definitely music. I can tolerate listening to a great tune with horrible lyrics, but not the other way around.
