Irish/Scottish Folk Rock

Irish/Scottish Folk Rock

Meet Luuk Wilms, a 33-year-old from The Netherlands.
“I listened to a lot of Hard Rock and Metal in my younger years. One day a friend of mine introduced me to Dropkick Murphys and I absolutely loved their music and soon I discovered Flogging Molly too. I really love the combination of Hard Rock and the iconic sound of Irish and Scottish folk and instruments like the banjo, bagpipe, and flute. I started the playlist with music of Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys but discovered some great new songs and bands along the way.”
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Volbeat Live Europe 2013 in the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam with Iced Earth as supporting act, absolute stunning live performance. Rammstein - Liebe Ist für Alle da Tour 2009 in Gelredome, Arnhem. Man what a show that was!

If you were a singer, what current living artist would you like to collaborate with?
Michael Poulsen of Volbeat. He has such an amazing voice that really completes his style of music.

Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
I don't play any instruments but would love to play the guitar. A long time I tried to start and even bought a guitar but never pushed through.
