Meet Xavi Roura, a 30-year-old from Catalonia.
“I don't know how it happened, but everything has grown a lot! The playlist has more than 9.300 followers and is one of the most followed into the Industrial metal subgenres. Many groups, managers and promoters send me messages almost every week for promoting songs on my playlist. And the most important thing is: the playlist has grown without paying or getting paid, which makes it an amateur playlist only controlled by my music taste, and not for any other interests.”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
I love Blutengel's "Monument"; Massive Ego's "Beautiful Suicide"; Ruoska's "Rabies"... I can't say just one!
What is the most annoying song in the world?
Anything that is reggaeton-rhythm based. I've never liked it.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
Melody is the part that persuades me to feel the song instead of the lyrics, and the way the voice matches it. I'm emotional, and songs must make me feel something! For me, 90% is melodic, and 10% the lyrics. That's funny because in the music genres I listen to, lyrics are way different from other "mainstream" genres.
Ruoska, Neuroticfish, Rammstein, and Cuestack.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Definitely, Patrik Mennander, former singer of Ruoska (an Industrial Metal band). Why don't you come back, guys? :(
Two years ago. It was a classical concert (a flute, an oboe, and a singer) in a medieval European church.
