Meet Iggor, a 21 year old Spotify playlist curator from Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
“The playlist was made in mid-winter 2018, when I was in a very introspective time of my life. These songs helped me to look inside and enjoy the melancholy. They're inspired by a movie clip channel of the same name.”
Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming it include:
Drinking alone! At night! Like any other, honestly.
Who is your favorite artist?
It comes and goes. I've really connected with Sufjan Stevens sounds these last few years, so I have been around that. More recently, though, it's Clairo.
What's your favorite show you've ever been to? Describe what made it special:
Pet Shop Boys in 2017's Rock In Rio. I was a big fan of the band in my childhood due to my older brothers taste in music and their sound influence my perception of music to this day - and the Domino Dancing music video actually helped me understand a few things about myself, if you know what I mean. Seeing them live after all these years was a cathartic experience of revisiting all those early-childhood feelings that caused such an impact in me.
What song do you currently have on repeat?
Bags by Clairo.
Who is the first artist you remember connecting to growing up?
Pet Shop Boys. Cindy Lauper.
Is there any music that turns you off? If so, what genres / artists:
Not one in specific. I'm not a huge fan of EDM, unless it has a little funk in it.
If you could interview one artist dead or alive, who would it be and why?
David Bowie. Man, I'd love to dig onto the man's thoughts.
What's more important to you: lyrics or production?
Lyrics. I'm more of a words guy myself.
