Meet Tiffanie, 48 years old from San Francisco, CA
“I run an indie record label, and we have an office-wide yoga class every Thursday, where a yoga instructor comes to our headquarters and teaches a class. I am always in charge of the playlists for that class. There's tons more where this one came from!”
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
Grace by Jeff Buckley. I am also a published writer, and his music has been a big influence on my work. I wrote a graphic novel about Jeff, called Grace: The Jeff Buckley Story, which is available wherever you buy books.
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
I loved all kinds of music as a kid. Been listening to music my whole life. But at 11, U2 became my favorite band, and they've been my favorite band for the last 37 plus years.
What artist, dead or alive, who would you interview and why?
Bono. I always joke that everything I know about life I learned from Bono. I'd love to have a coffee with him - or better yet, a beer - and discuss the world.
Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
I can play about three chords on a guitar. But didn't Bob Dylan say all you need are three chords and the truth?
Name your top 3 favorite artists and why?
My three favorite bands of all time, in this order, are: U2, Pearl Jam, and The National. Why? Because their music makes me think hard and feel even harder, and that's what great art should do, right?
