Meet Isabella, a 20 year old Spotify playlist curator from Washington state and living in Central Pennsylvania for school.
“When I went through my first heartbreak, my grandfather told me to show my ex that he didn't get to me. That I am not hurt and he doesn't have an effect on me. So, like the 18 year-old I was and extremely petty, I went to Walmart got onesies for my friends and me, party lights, and stole a bottle of Japanese wine from my mom. I was house-sitting for a friend and I invited three friends, two of which were marketing majors. I simply told them to "market my singleness on my snap story." We poured the wine in shot glasses to make it appear it was hard liquor, wore crazy onesies, and turned on the party lights. My marketing major friends did an amazing job at making it appear we were at a packed rave instead at home with four people. The only thing missing was music. I made a playlist that made me feel empowered and petty. The goal--show my ex he didn't get to me. Needless to say, it worked. He has no idea that the playlist has a following. I suppose I am not alone in heartbreak. I knew my only way to get over our broken relationship was to heal the relationship with myself. This playlist has inspired me to be myself, be happy, and to feel like a badass woman. My "I don't give a fuck about you" playlist was the only good thing that ever came out of our relationship. ”

My favorite artist is currently Cardi B.

What's your favorite concert you've been to?

I really enjoyed Sturgill Simpson's performance at the Grand Ole Opry last May.

Do you play any instruments? If not, is there one you would like to learn?

I learned how to play the ukulele a bit but I have also learned that I didn't get my family's musical talent.

What artist (dead or alive) had the biggest impact on your life?

The artist that has had the biggest impact on my life was Demi Lovato. I am not a Disney person but I heard her song "Warrior" and for the first time, I didn't feel alone. She was one of my main influences to be confidence in myself and to love myself with the respect it deserves.
