Meet Robyn, a 22 year old Spotify playlist curator from Bowling Green, Ohio.
“Insanely enough, this playlist is now 5 years old! I made it back in 2014, during my junior year of high school. I made this playlist because I was coming off of an extremely-long drawn out "Beatles-only" obsession I had since fourth grade. This was my venture into music that wasn't just "classic rock" or The Beatles.”
Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming it include:
"Driving fast and feeling like a badass and a punk somewhere in California with the sun going down, turning the sky purple and red, and watching the shadows of palm trees grow in the darkness."
What kind of music/artists did you grow up listening to?
"Lots of "classic rock," The Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys. Also a lot of old school funk and psychedelia."
Any interesting artist(s) you've just started listening to recently?
"Surf Curse is really the only band of this century I listen to."
Tell us about you! Occupation, hobbies, interests, a quote, your site, etc. -- anything you want to add to introduce yourself at the top of your post!
"I just moved to Bowling Green, Ohio after having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area my entire life to pursue my master's degree in History. I am a published historian who is in love with everything mid-century modern. When I'm not pursuing academia (which is all of the time), I enjoy cooking, collecting cookbooks, and listening to music."
