Meet Jacky Boes, a 20 year old Spotify playlist curator from Toluca, Estado de México..
“I have made several playlists, each one is focused on different moments and things that have happened to me. Let's say they represent my multiple personality facets.”
Tell me a little about yourself - Do you make music? Why do you love music?
I don’t make music but since I was a baby my mom used to play Mozart, Beethoven or Bach because she believed in the cognitive power of classical music. When I was little there was always music in my house, if it wasn't my mom's records it was my dad's and if it not ... it was the radio. When I was 8 years old I enter to piano and marimba classes, when I felt down I used to play my favorite song and at that age I understood the impact that music can have on you. After a few years in my first internet approaches I discovered Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, I still remember those goosebumps that usually come when you hear something extremely fascinating and in that moment my personal taste and love for music started, because of what the music of these Dj’s made me feel in my soul and in my heart.
What is the best concert you have attended?
The best concert I've been to was Lana Del Rey in Mexico City in 2014. I was unable to speak the next day.
