hip hop fire

Meet Timdemic, a 34 year old Spotify playlist curator from Wisconsin.
“I was fed up with most mainstream "hip hop", and wanted to create something that gave a spotlight to the (mostly underground) artists that were creating the music that I enjoy.”

If you were a singer, what current living artist would you love to collaborate with?

If I was to ever create a hip hop album/EP, I would want to get features from JL and/or Rittz. They're both great artists, but one of the biggest reasons beyond that is their work ethic. I've heard a lot of features from both of them, and never once did I feel like they phoned one in. Knowing you can trust another artist to put the same amount of effort into your song as their own is huge.

Do you play an instrument? If no, what instrument would you love to learn?

When I was younger I spent some time learning piano and guitar. Despite the fact that I no longer play them, they are still my favorite instruments.

Do you have a life slogan?

Be good to others, and do what makes you happy.

Name your top 3 favorite artist and why?

Ice Cube, Tupac, and Jurassic 5 are definitely near the top of my list. They all contributed heavily to the foundation for my current tastes in hip hop.

What is more important to you, music or lyrics? Why?

Music/lyrical flow. Lyrics are important to me too, but if the song doesn't move me in some way (beat/flow/etc.), I'm probably not going to enjoy listening to it more than once.
