High Hopes – Panic! At The Disco

Meet Rachel, a 21 year old VR Student & Spotify playlist curator from Glasgow who enjoys gaming and reading.

What initially inspired you to make your playlist?

I think initially I made the playlist for going long drives with my friends during the summer. We all have similar music tastes but found that no one play list really "had it all".

Describe your playlist. Perfect setting(s) for vibing out to it include:

Long drives, pre-party or just for chilling.
What kind of music/artists did you grow up listening to?
Growing up I listened to a lot of Busted and McFly but I was also heavily influenced by my parents who both loved Clubland music. Which is about as far away as you can get from the music in my playlist I guess.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
The first time I went to see Imagine Dragons back in 2015 I think. It was the first time I had been to a concert and really felt the energy of standing in the crowd. Especially during high energy songs like Radioactive. The Pray For The Wicked tour by Panic! At the Disco comes a close second.
Who are your all-time favorite artists and why?
Difficult question, as it changes all the time! I don't think I have any all-time favourites, but I never get sick of classics like Queen and I have a soft spot for Dolly Parton.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time:
American Beauty/ American Psycho by Fall Out Boy. I don't tend to like every song on an album, this is one of the rare exceptions.
Name a song (or songs) you are currently listening to on repeat:
The Mystic by Adam Jensen and pretty much anything by NEFFEX or grandson.
Who's your favorite new artist(s) that you'd encourage other people to check out?
Not a new artist but certainly new to me is Elderbrook!
