Meet Frederico, 24 years old from Brazil.
“My name is Lea and I'm a Senior in high school, but I'll graduate this Spring.
I just turned 18. I'm from Norway and I was adopted from China when I was just an infant. However, I'm currently on an exchange year in North Dakota, USA. I speak Norwegian, English, and a little bit of French and Spanish, which has broadened the music I listen to. I've been dancing ballet since I was three years old and my mom would tell me that I learned to dance before I could walk, resulting in my love for classical music.”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
I Lived by OneRepublic. I always feel so inspired and motivated when listening to it, it's my all-time pick me up song. This song is all about appreciating your life and encouraging you to live life to the fullest. It makes you appreciate every single experience, positive or negative.
What is the most annoying song in the world?
The songs I find annoying tend to grow on me over time. What makes a song annoying to me is when it gets extremely overplayed, so I'd say it's currently tied between Old Town Road and the Baby Shark Song.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
I have to say music. When I'm looking through my recommended songs on Spotify, I always skip to the middle of the song and listen to the music before I decide if I want to add it to my playlist or not. If the music is good the lyrics usually don't matter to me, unless the song's message is something I'm against. I do however believe that good lyrics is what separates the great songs from the just good songs.
I always tell people that I never completely grew out of my One Direction phase from middle-school. I'd say my favorite artist is Harry Styles. I've always enjoyed his vocals and he's proved from early on that he knows how to write good lyrics as well. He's been a very important part of my teenage years and his solo music is really good!
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
Adele, definitely Adele. She seems like very a genuine and wise woman, and I could learn a lot from her. She seems like someone who always has an interesting story to tell.
