If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
“Weird Al” Yankovic
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
That’s extremely difficult to answer. I’ve attended some doozies. Some of my favorites have been from Twenty One Pilots, Relient K, Judah & the Lion, Mike Mains & the Branches, and House of Heroes.
Do you play any instruments? If not, any you would love to learn?
I certainly don’t play anything expertly. But I grew up playing trumpet at school and started playing bass guitar in the eighth grade. I’ve since fooled around with acoustic and electric guitar, cajon, and any instrument I can get my hands on.
Do you have a life slogan?
In the words of Dr. Jordan Peterson, “Tell the truth. Or, at least, don’t lie. That’s a start.”
What is the most annoying song in the world?
Man, I don’t even know.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
I’m a lyrics guy, through and through. They’ve always been the first thing I hear in a song. It probably has to do with my evangelical Christian upbringing. My mom used to find my brother’s Blink-182 CDs and throw them away. So I always had to be prepared to defend any music I listened to and explain how it was honoring to God or generally beneficial. That most likely ingrained within me my keen lyrical awareness.
