Meet Marcus André Bekkelund, a 21-year-old from Oslo, Norway.
“I was looking for a certain vibe, that I just couldn't find in playlists, and decided to go make that playlist myself.”
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
I grew up listening to everything. My parents used to listen to everything from Pink Floyd, to Metal, to Hip-hop, to romantic music. I never got a preference for one style of music.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
The Dark Side Of The Moon, by Pink Floyd. Hands down some of the best music I know of to this day. Music that makes you feel something is becoming rarer and rarer nowadays, and playing that album back just reminds me of how much I love music.
Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?
I play a tiny bit of guitar, but I do wish I was able to play guitar and piano well enough to be able to play songs by ear. I've always had an enormous love for music, and not being able to play any instruments particularly well is, and will always be one of my biggest regrets.
Do you have a life slogan?
Everybody and everything can teach you something you don't know. No matter what, or who.
What is your favorite quote?
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. - Bob Marley. It's a widely known quote, and even though I try to be a hipster, it has to be that one. It's just so true, and it truly speaks for the magic that music is.
