Meet Johnny Schifano a 17-year-old from Dallas, Texas.
“I've always been into emo rock music, so when artist like Peep surface, I instantly fell in love with the sound. I made the playlist because the songs can really help someone get through a rough spot and I also wanted to be able to share dope music with my friends and whoever else was interested. I never thought it would take off like it did, but I enjoy all the submissions so it works out perfectly.”

What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?

I grew up listening to a lot of classic rock with my dad- Eagles, Stones, Skynyrd, Beatles etc. But, I listened to and more so enjoyed a lot of the 90's and early 2000's rock like Blink 182, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nirvana with my siblings. I also always loved Sinatra, Elvis, and Dean Martin. I honestly listened to everything.

Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?

I've played piano (keyboard) for about 10 years now but I've been playing guitars both electric and acoustic for a little over 5 years.

What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?

The best concert I've ever been to was probably the Neighbourhood with my older sister, it was my first concert without my parents and at the time especially, I loved all of their stuff and their stage effects and lighting were sick. But again I'm easily entertained and love almost all live music.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I don't tell many people but in addition to songs I also write poetry. I started doing it as a joke but it's actually kind've therapeutic and I've written like 30 by now. Also, most people don't know I will be playing college football, baseball, or both.

Do you have a life slogan?

I know it's not quite a slogan, but when life gets so hard that continuing seems impossible, just literally do whatever it is you want to do and stop thinking. For example, if I have a bad day, I may sit down and mindlessly eat a sleeve of Oreos who knows. Don't ever forget you're free.
