Meet Jonatan, a 22-year-old Spotify playlist curator from Denmark.
“I’ve been interested in electronic music, specifically big-room, for quite some time now. I made my playlist 5 years ago, and my interest in keeping its integrity has only grown since then. ”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
I would have to say that No Regrets by KSHMR, Krewella, and Yves V is probably the soundtrack to my life.
Who is your favorite artist?
KSHMR. I've listened to him since some of his first songs came out, and I've always been mesmerized by his ability to mix Indian and electronic tunes together. He takes pride in his Indian heritage, and together with his knowledge of EDM, he is able to create completely unique tunes. I got to meet him when he played in Beijing backstage and he is such a humble person.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)
I would definitely interview KSHMR.
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
I think the best concert that I've been to was when I saw Oliver Heldens live at the Great Wall Festival 2017 in Beijing.
Do you have a favorite quote?
“What's the key to success? The key is, there is no key. Be humble, hungry, and the hardest worker in any room." - John Dwayne
Do you play any instruments? If not, are there any you would love to learn?
I would love to learn the piano.
What is the most annoying song in the world?
I think Baby by Justin Bieber is pretty annoying.
What’s more important to you? Music or lyrics? Why?
Great music gives me chills. Whenever I'm feeling stressed out or I need to do a lot of work, music without any lyrics makes me work and achieve more. Music is a key aspect of everyone's lives. Though lyrics can convey great messages, the music is what connects people.
