Meet Marcel, 21 years old from Germany.
“ I made this playlist because I just felt that there were no real playlists I could browse to find new tracks from the genre. So I decided to create one myself, so others might find new music easier.”

What is the soundtrack to your life?

That's one thing that always changes. I think its tough to choose one favourite song. It depends on how your life is going and is all about the mood. Also, taste changes over time. If I had to really name only one song, it probably would be "What's up" by "4 Non Blondes". Yeah, I know, it's neither HipHop nor something near that, but I just love the song.

If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)

Definitely $uicideBoy$, I'm just fascinated with their music and it helped me through a tough time. I would use that interview to also say thank you in a way.

What is the best concert you have ever been to?

Probably Splash Festival 21. It's a festival if that counts.

Do you play any instruments? If not, any you would love to learn?

No, I'm not really good at music, reading notes and stuff, so I'd love to learn to produce music with a computer. I work as a programmer, I think I would feel quite comfortable with that. I've already tried to learn a bit of that, but never really got into it.

Do you have a life slogan?

Trust Nobody - it's no slogan I live by, but it always reminds me, that not everyone in this world is telling everything. So it's basically a slogan I like to keep in mind.

What is the most annoying song in the world?

"Atemlos" by "Helene Fischer", a German song, and it's so f*ckin' annoying as many people like to listen to it, when there is a small town festival and I just dislike those suburban party stuff in general (there are exceptions tho).

What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?

It's the right balance of both. There can be an incredible piece of lyrics, but if the music does not fit, it's less good. This is a difficult thing to explain, but it's really the right mix of both. Of course, this always depends, varying and mood is really a factor for it.
