Meet Tribble, a 33-year-old Spotify from Atlanta, GA.
“I created the playlist in December of 2017 because it was getting to be really hard to find good music. I have a passion for music and the Spotify suggested playlists (at the time) weren’t fulfilling my search. So I created my own curation that I update monthly by listening to over 750-1000 songs from all over the internet. I whittle the list down to 50-75 ‘snacks’ that resonate with me.”
What is the soundtrack to your life? A song or album that you feel like describes you or helps express who you are
Last year I went through some stuff. “No Worries” by Simon Webbe helped carry me through a lot of the darkness. So positive and his voice brings comfort and good energy. This year, it’s been a lot of “My Life” by Space Primates. If you haven’t heard that song, and need something to empower your existence, give it a listen. Total game changer. Also, see “Let’s Be Together” by Esha ft. Pope. I’ve probably listened to it 500 times.
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
I usually listen to the beat/music first. It’s what catches my attention and I feel it within another dimension of myself. Lyrics have their place, too, but I definitely resonate with the beat first.
Favorite artist? Top 5?
Oh man. It changes depending on mood but Odesza, Kygo, Gryffin, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Coldplay, Quinn XCII, Claptone, but I also am really feeling everything Fisher is putting out right now.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive) and why?
I would love to interview Chris Martin from Coldplay. I’ve seen them live twice and both times, it brought out emotions in me that I didn’t know that I had. He has incredible energy and I think he is able to project his essence through his music and it’s almost magical.
