Meet Andre, a music lover from Kuwait.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

The soundtrack to my life would probably be “Can't Tell Me Nothin - Kanye West” the song really captures my attitude towards success and my pursuit. Runners up would probably be Drop Coupes - Nipsey Hussle, Pursuit of Happiness - Kid Cudi. I'm sure after doing a bit of reflection a few more will come to mind but for now, those are the standouts.

What is the most annoying song in the world?

This is going to sound weird it's actually a nursery rhyme. The one that goes row row row your boat. I dislike the song primarily because of my last name. Jessica Black’s Friday is pretty annoying too.

What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?

Personally, I gravitate towards music with lyrical sustenance. I remember vividly listening to Lupe’s “Around My Way” and in the song, he mentions “planned obsolescence” I followed that down the rabbit hole and eventually learned a bit about economics. But at the same time, there are certain instruments out there that trigger a wide array of emotions. That too is also important. So in the grand scheme of things Id say they’re both equally important because they both depend on each other to achieve a high level of success. During the 2017’s any Metro Boomin produced record would get some airplay regardless of a lyrics, but when the actual lyrics and the musicality work in tandem great things happen ie Jumpman feat, Drake.

Favorite artist?

A few of my favs are: Lupe, Nas, Curren$ y, Charles Hamilton, Yassin Bey AKA Mos Def, Andre 3K

If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive)

Garnett Silk - He was up and coming reggae artist who died way too soon. His music always resonated with and I would have loved to probe his mind with a  few questions.
