Meet Ana, a 19 year old Spotify playlist curator from Houston, TX.
“I made this playlist mainly for my own enjoyment and then my friends started to like it so I would make sure that I would add new songs that most of my friends had not heard before. ”
Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming it include:
I think it's perfect for a dinner with friends. Something a little more upbeat yet still chill.
Who is your favorite artist?
This is quite a hard question but I am currently obsessed with Tones and I. She has a great voice and can't wait for her new album to come out on the 30th. Another artist that is super young and has great music is Reul. People need to check him out also.
What's your favorite show you've ever been to? Describe what made it special:
I got to go to Kanye Wests tour about 2 years ago and loved how it wasn't necessarily a concert and more a little festival. Travis Scott got in the crowd with the rest of us. 10/10 experience.
What song do you currently have on repeat?
Who is the first artist you remember connecting to growing up?
Justin Bieber hahaha
Is there any music that turns you off? If so, what genres / artists:
I think if anything that is extremely intense, hard metal. I am not a big fan of songs that are extremely electronic and have no words. I feel like I need words... makes a song more meaningful, interesting, and fun! This is all obviously just personal opinion (don't want to offend any artists that do this type of music because obviously it is great, just not my type).
If you could interview one artist dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Lil Nas X (idk why but he is literally hilarious). I just want to be best friends with him.
What's more important to you: lyrics or production?
I think production is for sure important but the lyrics just make it more fun to sing along to and can make a song just way more meaningful- in my opinion.
