Meet Soraya Bruinen a 28-year-old from The Netherlands.
“It started out by just making a playlist for myself, since country music isn’t that popular in Europe/The Netherlands and before I knew it the number of followers grew.”
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
The radio was always on in my household and the old cassette tapes were being played, so a lot of 80's/90's music. In my teenage years, I mostly listened to alternative rock bands, like Lifehouse, the Goo Goo Dolls and Simple Plan.
Name your top 3 favorite artists and why?
That's a tough one. At the moment my favorites are Night riots, I fell in love with their music, when they were the support act of The Maine (band). Their energy on stage blew my mind and they have a really refreshing sound. My second favorite is The Technicolors, a band who's new with a twist of 80's new wave/rock sound. And last but not least the band called The Maine. Not only do they make great music, but they also do so much for the community, like charity's and do volunteer work. They also managed to organize their own festival called the 8123fest, which was a success. People from all over the world came to Phoenix, Arizona just to participate. These 3 bands make me crave for an era where bands will more frequently be on the radio.
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
I've been to 100+ concerts and counting, but still my favorite right now is probably The Maine while I was in America. The whole lineup from the support act and the performances were just mesmerizing.
Do you have a hidden talent?
Photography, not too hidden, but not everyone knows that about me, especially concert photography. I also sing, not everyone in my life knows that about me as well.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
Lifehouse - No name face
