Best Hip Hop & RNB 2019

Meet Livio Schröder, a 20-year-old from Mannheim, Germany.
“Originally the Playlist was intended to be a Birthday present to my Father because he was the sole reason I got into HipHop in the first place.”

What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?

I grew up listening to HipHop but also a lot of soul, deep house and 80's Music because of my Parents, so I was always surrounded by Artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Jamiroquai and many others in those genres.

Name one of your favorite albums of all time?

Savage Mode by 21 Savage and Metro Boomin. In my opinion this Album is an absolute Masterpiece the dark and melodic Production from Metro fits 21 Savage's Dark tone and deep lyrics very well. Especially the Song Ocean Drive stands out for me, and Is one of my favourite songs.

Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?

I used to play the Piano for five years or so but I quit that hobby quite a while ago, although nowadays I just produce HipHop Instrumentals as a hobby. And as I learned later lots of the Piano skills are very useful when It comes to Music Theory, layering and making melodies/rhythms

Name your top 3 favorite artist and why?

1st 21 Savage - Because I love the real lyrics and the message behind his songs, you can hear a lot about his hardships and problems In his old Albums because of lost friends, addiction problems and so on. 2nd 50 Cent - My first HipHop Album was by 50 Cent and It was The Massacre, I can still listen to that Album today and enjoy every second of It, truly a new Classic. 3rd Young Nudy - There are a lot of favourites that I have but Young Nudy Is simply one of the best when it comes to rhythm and clever lyrics fitting perfectly on the Beat, His very best Music projects and Albums are all the Collaborations with Pi'erre Bourne.

If you were a singer, what current living artist would you like to collaborate with?

I would absolutely love to spend even just 1 Hour with Metro Boomin in the Studio and just learning about his process, why he does what he does when it comes to producing and so on. He Is a big Inspiration to me not just Music wise but his whole message of Working for what you want to achieve.
