Meet Michael Huska, 18 years old from Chicago,Illinois.
“On my Instagram, I post strictly music videos. I felt like there were too many great songs filled with substance that I kept finding myself unavailable to post because they didn’t have videos. I decided a playlist would be a perfect fix to this, especially since many playlists are focused on songs that trend and not the content of the songs.”
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Joe Budden- All Love Lost. Not very applicable to now but more so munch past
What’s more important to you? Music; or Lyrics? Why?
Music. Lyrics are important, but at the end of the day the song has to be sonically pleasing. I’ve heard plenty of songs with great lyrics but have only listened to them once because they don’t sound good at all.
Favorite artist? Top 5?
Joe Budden is my favorite artist all time by far. He’s the artist who really grew my love for hip hop and showed me that lyricism doesn’t have to be just witty punchlines, it can be just pure substance.
If you had the chance to interview an artist, who would it be? (Dead or alive) and why?
Nipsey. I always really respected how he advocated for artists to be independent and gave upcoming artists advice on how to grow their audience. Whenever he spoke you could tell he was intelligent and I think an interview with him would really help not only me learn more about the industry but others as well.
I’ve actually never been to a concert because I feel like they’re not for me. If I did go to one it would be a Cole-type concert, not really an overly-hype concert.
