Meet Gerald, 35 year old Senior Account Manager and Strategist for a Branding Design Agency in Sydney, Australia.
“I work in a branding design studio and wanted to put together a collection of great tunes to work to spanning many genres across many generations and eras of music. It later evolved to become a playlist that captured new and obscure discoveries that I am constantly uncovering throughout my life's musical journey, which has invariably become my daily soundtrack.”
What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
As a young kid, I listened to a lot of Michael Jackson and Madonna very early on, But when I started to listen to hip hop is when I truly got into music. The first tape my dad got me was a copy of Straight Outta Compton by NWA on one side and Apocalypse 91 by Public Enemy on the other.
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
In my opinion, Enter the Wu-Tang 36 Chambers, was the greatest hip hop album of all time.
What is the best concert you've ever been to?
Queens of the Stone Age in 2003 at the Metro Sydney, when Nick Oliveri was still in the band. I like to describe it as seeing Zeppelin or Black Sabbath in their prime. Stunning show.
