Meet Tim Weaving, a Spotify playlist curator.
“There is no shortage of audiophile playlists, but many of them consist of the conventional picks. Whilst this playlist still contains many of the usual suspects, I have tried to include some of the slightly more obscure music that I have come across so that listeners can hopefully discover something they haven't heard before. I have included a carefully curated selection of my favourite classical recordings too and the playlist is constantly being updated.”

Describe your playlist in a few words.

A playlist of audiophile-quality recordings for testing different aspects of your audio set-up.

Who are your top 5 favorite artists?

Steely Dan, Supertramp, Love, Talc, Natalie Prass

What was the best concert you ever attended?

Damon Albarn - he indulged the audience in some Blur and Gorillaz, alongside his solo stuff. The concert was held outside in the evening and Albarn performed through thunder and lightning; the sound of thousands singing Tender in the pouring rain was pretty epic.

Tell us something interesting about yourself.

I compose classical music in my spare time and was composer of the month on an online score-sharing platform called MuseScore in July, 2017. The piece I am most proud of is titled Marche Macabre and can be found on my MuseScore channel if anyone is interested.

How long has music been in your life?

I have always taken a keen interest in music of all varieties, but it really became a large part of my life when I started to learn the electric guitar at eleven years old. I was then introduced to classical music when my aunt gave me a CD of Elgar's cello concerto soon after, which prompted me to pursue classical guitar instead.
