Meet Jason Felicio, a 32-year-old from North Carolina.
“Made this playlist just like the name says, to use tailgating at country concerts with friends and family.”
What Music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?
I actually didn't care for country music growing up. I have a pretty eclectic taste, but I grew up on classic rock, pop, and everything in between. I also liked rap and R&B a lot as well. From 50 Cent, Linkin Park, Matchbox 20, The Who, my burned CDs (yes, I'm that old) had just a little bit of everything. Pretty much anything BUT country, haha!
Name one of your favorite albums of all time?
Matchbox 20 - Yourself Or Someone Like you. It's the first CD I can truly remember listening to over and over and over from start to finish, knowing every word to every song. I still listen to it on Spotify from time to time.
What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw: Brothers of the Sun tour. Jake Owen opened, and being able to see Kenny and Tim in one night was amazing. The icing on the cake was for the encore, they first sang their collaboration "Feel like a Rock Star", and then took turns singing parts of each others hits "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and "Indian Outlaw." I'll never forget it.
Name your top 3 favorite artists and why?
Kenny Chesney - The reason I got into country music was my first Kenny Chesney concert. I've seen him too many times to count, and at all different places up and down the east coast. Rob Thomas - I grew up on Matchbox 20, and his solo stuff is pretty great too. One of my favorite voices ever, and puts on an AMAZING concert. Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) - Gone way too soon, all 3 of my favorite artists I was able to see live, and they all put on fantastic shows, but nobody compares to the intensity Chester brought to a show.
Do you have a life slogan?
My faith is EXTREMELY important to me. I wouldn't say I have a life slogan per se, but very simply I put my trust in Jesus, all things are possible through Him!
