160 BPM (3.5+ hours, long run, full / half marathon)

Meet Patti, 41 years old from Raleigh, NC.
“I was training for a half marathon, but running at a different rhythm than the BPM on my playlists completely threw me off. So I created different playlists for different paces. It made a huge difference in my training and helped me to meet my goals. Seriously, I don't know how people can run with the wrong BPM music.”

What music did you grow up listening to as a young kid?

A mix of Colombian (from my mom), Guns & Roses, NKOTB, Metallica, Whitney Houston, Tiffany, Salt n Peppa, Debbie Gibson, Bob Jovi, all of it! Except for Country - hated it, even though I lived in the South LOL

What is the best concert you've ever been to?

Hamilton! That counts, right?

Do you have a life slogan?

Be where you are. Don't despair about where you wish you were or want to be, you have to look around and figure out how to deal with what's actually happening. If it's not where you want to be, figure out a plan to get somewhere else.

Do you play any instruments? If no, which instrument do you wish you could play?

I recently started teaching myself to play ukelele - specifically because my daughter (who's an AMAZING singer) wanted to learn how to play. So I taught myself and then her. Tomorrow night she's singing and playing Riptide (Vance Joy) in her elementary school talent show. :)

What is your favorite quote?

Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. ~The Talmud
