Meet Lucas, a 22 year old Spotify playlist curator from Paris, France…
“I’m studying international business and I am working in a clothing shop called 'Royalcheese' (yeah you are reading right). I've done motocross since I was 5, at 11 I started mountain biking with my friends, we are called 'the forest crew' (you can follow us @theforestcrew). We made 3 movies already and we are starting the 4th one. I do a bit of skate and I surf when I have time. My life is mostly about having good times with my friends, drinking cold beer while doing the stuff that I love. Cheers.”

When & why did you make your playlist?

I created this playlist a long time ago while I was working at a quiksilver shop near Paris. At that time the brand had their own playlist for every shop and I’ll be honest with you it was crap. 3 to 4 times a days you listen to the same song it was really pissing me off.

Describe your playlist. Perfect situation(s) for jamming include:

I remember at the time I was really doing this with my mood of the moment but always focusing on the fact that it needs to create sells in a surf/skate shop. So during the morning it was more of chill vibe and it was going heavier by the time going. You can find basically anything in this playlist with the culture surf skate so rap, punk, rock, reggae, indy and so on.

What was the best concert you've ever attended and why? (Include as many details as you'd like: city / venue / when / with whom...)

I went 2 times see Skegss in concert and each time it was insane! It was always in a tiny stage (the last one was at point éphémère in January I think) so the public is stacked and the mosh pits are heavy. I went there with my two best friends, Alan and Julien. We had a f*cking great time. Hockey dad was cool too.

What kind of music / artists did you grow up listening to?

I grew listening to punk rock mostly. Guttermouth, Pennywise, Corrosion of Conformity because I was watching Terrafirma and Crusty demons which are the premises of motorcycle video in the 90’s. Then during middle school I was listening to Slipknot. Those are still artists that I still listened to this day, when I am in the mood. Brings back memories 😜

Who are your all-time favorite artists and why?

I don’t really have all time favorite. I’m listening to so many artist that goes from Sinatra to Slayer so it is hard to pick one. But I guess Jack White, musically this guy is just a machine. When you listen to him it’s easy but you hooked.
