Clap along to ‘Travis Scott,’ ‘SZA,’ ‘Diplo,’ Missy Elliot,’ and More at Pharrell Williams' First-Time Music Festival This April

It was recently announced that Pharrell Williams will be sanctioning a Virginia Beach music festival, SOMETHING IN THE WATER, featuring beach and oceanfront concerts. Virginia, home to Williams and many other great and influential artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Allen Iverson, Missy Elliot, and more is full of “one-of-a-kind: uniquely gritty, bold, and brilliant people,” Williams said in an interview with the Associated Press.

He also mentioned that this concert will be a way to give back to the community that raised him and helped him achieve his goals and dreams.. It will be game-changing for the community as Williams is trying to curate a well-deserved “cultural experience.”

The lineup consists of some of the biggest names in music right now including Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Jaden Smith, Jhene Aiko, Maggie Rogers, Migos, Diplo, Radiant Children, Dram, Missy Elliott, Mac Demarco, Geoffrey Canada, Ferg, SZA, Pusha T, Kaws, Masego, John-Robert, J Balvin, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Pharrell & Friends, Janelle Monae,  and Virgil Abloh.

SOMETHING IN THE WATER will also be screening and discussing the Netflix film "The Burial of Kojo," set to premiere on March 31st. In addition to music and film, the festival will include a pop-up church service, trap karaoke, and moments with wellness expert Deepak Chopra and Geoffrey Canada, a man that has benefited the lives of thousands of inner-city youth.
